Meet Our Team - Jay and Lori Richardson
I think it’s important that you know our story :)
Yesterday, I received a call from my mom while I was in town. She said I needed to hurry to the farm because the plastic on our hoop houses didn’t look like they were going to be able to withstand the wind (it was bad). I hurried home and found this woman laying across the plastic (freezing her ears off) to stop it from blowing away. That is who these two are.
Rewind to about six months ago, I was talking to my dad about what I wanted to do when I grew up. There were only about forty roads ahead of me and more seemed to be more forging their paths as the days passed. I came across the idea of growing flowers and was about settled and of course, asked for his opinion. He said something along the lines of “I knew you’d do something like this.” Since I had only been trying to figure out where life would take me for literally years, I replied “well why didn’t you tell me about ten years ago?” To which he said “I had to let you figure it out for yourself.” That is who these two are.
They know what makes me tic. They are always there to lend a helping hand, but let me lead them in my own time. They have been through every high and every low, and never once complained about the extra work that I got them into - including this venture, and let me tell you, it’s going to be a lot of work. I am happy to introduce you to two crucial members of our team - my parents, my partners, and two of the biggest supporters in my life. You can call them Jay and Lori, but to me, they will be Mom and Dad. I was blessed with the best, and they are assisting me in forging quite the path here.
